My Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

As you know, 2011 is coming to an end. You have approximately one week to make my wishes come true. No, this is not a threat letter. I’m trying to be a good girl this year…

As much as you want to say that I’ve been a naughty girl this year, I have to concede. Yes, I stole your naughty/nice list last year and had hidden it in Five Oaks. But truly that doesn’t mean I get another stocking full of coal, right? You have to understand the pain I’ve been through this year, trying to make amends.

So here are my demands:

1.    My dog won’t stop barking and watching T.V with me. He’s become a TV-addict…and truthfully, I don’t like it. He has to bark at every hot girl on screen. If you may, I would like glasses for my Maltese that make the television invisible when I have the telly on.
2.    My Uggs you brought me last year. They ran out of the color I wanted, so I think you should buy me another pair. Hopefully in caramel color, please.
3.    I’ve moved to Maryland this year and I’m surrounded by the wilderness. If you can, please build me a mall or some shopping store next my home. It’s really weird when I have to drive to the store for milk… I’m not lazy, I swear! My cave is just…out there in the boonies!
4.    If you could have a talk with the weatherman, I’d like some warmer weather out here and also I’m missing palm trees. My muse is to the point of disowning me because I refuse to move back to Hawaii.
5.    Lastly, all I want is everyone to be happy.

I hope you and the elves get everything done in time for Christmas. I know my letter is short notice, but surely you can work your magic.

And Santa, to show my gratitude, I’ve attachedSilent Night’s Seduction for your pleasure! It’ll be my gift to you right here. Check out the blurb!

Blurb:
Stubborn and proud cowgirl, Lily McCormick, is finally coming to terms with her quiet life on her parent’s ranch, until her older brother, as payback, signs her up for 1NightStand. Kidnapped and forced onto a plane to a foreign location, she faces the dreaded cold and an unwanted tryst, until her ex-husband appears before her…as her date.

New York City District Attorney, Rafe Martinez, would do anything to get his ex-wife back, even if it meant taking drastic measures to pretend he was there for another woman. When jealousy and rage surfaces and Lily’s tough demeanor wanes, desire and lust sparks their once powerful connection as truths unfold. Will Rafe convince her to return to him or push her further away from giving their love a second chance?

Merry Christmas! Ho-ho-ho!

P.S. I’ve burned all my Christmas stockings, so if you’re gonna get me coal then you’ll have to provide those also.

Sincerely,
Clarissa Yip

Am I missing anything else? What else should I ask Santa for?

  1. Santa here! That's quite a list, Clarissa! I hope you really have been a good girl and that story i heard about what you did with the bread was a lie!!!
I think you missed asking for a supply of food so you can feed all the reindeer I'll be wintering with you. Did I forget to mention that? They LOVE watching TV so they'll be fine with your dog. You should be writing not watching the TV anyway!
The Uggs - ah - too late. All gone this year. But I found a lovely pair just like them in Walmart. I'm sure you'll love them.
The shopping mall - well I've come up trumps there. It's going to be in your backyard - how about that!! Should only be a little issue with traffic and 24 hour delivery but I'm sure you won't mind.
The weather - um - well I'll do my best but don't hold your breath. But the palm trees are no problem at all. I'm going to rip up all those pine trees and plant palms. Course, you'll have to take care of them and I'll be VERY upset if any die.
Happiness? I wish you every happiness, my dear, and I'm sure my reindeer will be happy with you too.
    Merry Christmas. Love Santa xxxx

  2. First you send in your list late and now your making demands of me, do you know how busy i am this time of year? Get a second TV or a companion for your dog, I'm sure that will help. More Uggs do you know how hard that is to get on such short notice right now, your so difficult. Another shopping mall is not in the bag for you this year ( ask again next year) so learn to appreciate the wonders of nature and drive safely or maybe get a cow, I'm such it will get along with the deers. I would love to help with your snow problem but we cast a vote among the elves and they decided they like the snow and i can't go against the elves they just might strike and wouldn't that be a catastrophe with Christmas so near *shudders in horror at the very thought* Has for everyone to be happy, with the magic of Christmas it might just be possible, i will try my very best. I really appreciate your gift, i very rarely get gifts other than cookies and milk. Their will be no coal for you this year, i already have your stockings all stuffed with something special just for you, waiting to be delivered.
Lovely hearing from you my dear,do continue to write.

    Merry Christmas!
    Love St. Nick

I WISH I could go back to Hawaii! So expensive to live there. Besides, I'm kind of turned off from all the tsunamis. lol. You would never think of how scary those can be when you hear the alarms ring every month...not to scary everyone. It is gorgeous there and I miss it a lot. I'll definitely have to go back and visit.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Holidays!

  21. Fun post and I definitely agree with you about the weather. I HATE Winter and am counting down the days until Summer.

I LOVE the 1NS series and enjoyed the blurb you posted about your contribution to the series.

  22. Dear Santa,
Please give Clarissa's muse new socks.
Clearly with the weather not being as warm as her muse is used to, she might get cold feet and hie herself off to Hawaii.
It's darn tricky to have a long distance relationship with a muse, you know. The books might suffer and not get written, and then #5 will be oh-so-much more difficult to achieve for you, as we'll all be unhappy.
    Yours,
    Silke

P.S. Bring Oscuro a big bag of Cheese and Onion Crisps (Chips), so he doesn't have to steal the extra strong mints out of the grooming kit.
They burn his tongue, you know.

Winter is definitely a drag at times! But it does have it's benefits.

I LOVE the 1NS series too! Thanks for stopping by!

  32. I am not sure what else to add to the demand...I mean wish list. It is definitely to keep your muse happy, she will run away to Hawaii unless you make sure she is. Perhaps if you turn up the heat and give her a couple of tropical drinks she might be happier?
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

  34. Wow, wish I had thought to put that stuff on my Christmas list, maybe I wouldn't have gotten a coupon for mounting & balancing if I buy the tires.

PS: I'm not a big fan of snow myself, but if the Elves are threatening to strike over keeping it, you had better just learn to live with it.
