Christmas is a time of cheer, cold weather, hot cocoa and MOVIES. Back in the summer on my blog Major Love~~~Major Romance I did a list of my All-time favorite Summer blockbusters. So in the spirit of the season, I am counting down my All-time favorite Christmas Movies.
#10.Christmas Vacation – Chevy Chase, Randy Quaid – The Christmas lights on the house makes me giggle every time.
#9.The Bishop's Wife – Cary Grant, the man of my dreams and romantic comedy legend. They just don't make them like that anymore.The Preacher's Wife with Denzel Washington isn't bad either.
#8.Elf – Will Farrell sitting on Bob Newhart's lap cracks me up every time.
#7.Home Alone– This movie put Christmas movies on the map and made McCaulyCulken a household name. Who can forget this image?#6.Trading Places – Christmas or not, this movie is one of the funniest ever with Eddie Murphy, Dan Akroid and a very hot Jamie Lee Curtis.
#5.It's A Wonderful Life – Jimmy Stewart stared in so many great movies, but this is him at his best and to anyone who considers themselves a cinema buff it is a must see. Another Jimmy Stewart Christmas movie that's worth seeing – Shop Around the Corner
#4.White Christmas – Bing - The Crooner and his classic song. Even today, does anyone sing the song better than he does?
#3.The Santa Clause – One of the cleverest takes on the story of St. Nick
#2.A Christmas Story – I first saw this movie the year we got cable – 1986. It was a dreary Saturday afternoon in late December. For whatever reason, this movie tickled my funny bone to the extreme and I laughed until my sides ached. At the end of the show I ended up feeling the true Christmas spirit and haven't gone a year without watching it since then.#1.Miracle on 34th Street – This screen play was written by a child– or at least someone with the heart of a child. And it is the pentacle of the genre and Christmas perfection. When little Natalie Wood screams "Stop the car! Stop the car!" I still tear up. The remakes are good but nothing tops the 1947 B&W version.

Here are my favorite cookies – because they are easy and rich (just like I like my men)
Magic Cookie Bars
Ingredients
Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 cups (12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips (I actually use 1 cup of chocolate chips, ½ cup of butterscotch chips, and ½ cup of peanut butter chips)
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
HEAT oven to 350°F.Coat 13 x 9-inch baking pan with no-stick cooking spray.
COMBINE graham cracker crumbs and butter in small bowl. Press into bottom of prepared pan. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture. Layer evenly with chocolate chips, coconut and nuts. Press down firmly with fork.
BAKE 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Loosen from sides of pan while still warm; cool on wire rack. Cut into bars or diamonds.
For perfectly cut cookie bars, line entire pan with foil, extending foil over edge of pan. Coat lightly with no-stick cooking spray. After bars have baked and cooled, lift up with edges of foil to remove from pan. Cut into bars.
